Weight Calibration
The Mass Calibration Laboratory was established in 1998 to calibrate Test Weights in the weight range 25kg to 1mg inclusive. More recently the business has expanded to include a second laboratory for the calibration of M Grade Industrial Weights in the range 50kg to 1,000kg.
The Laboratory operates under the technical direction of Donal O’ Leary, B.Sc. C.P.I.M. A graduate of University College Cork, he has been involved in the areas of measurement, calibration and ISO Quality Standards dissemination since 1983, through his work with the National Legal Metrology Service, Forbairt and N.S.A.I.
Donal has worked in the area of Average Weights Compliance for more than 15 years, initially as a Quantity Control Inspector and more recently as a Quality Assurance Consultant.
A Registered and Certified Assessor with the Institute of Management U.K. and a qualified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, he is also and Approved Assessor for the European Foundation for Quality Management Business Excellence Model. Donal is both a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Black Belt, Accredited by the American Society for Quality.
Training
As a trainer, Donal has developed and presented both accredited and customized training programmes in Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Calibration, Statistical Process Control, Probability Theory and Quality Assurance to the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Food, Medical Devices and Motor Components Industries since 1992.
